For my birthday this year, I am asking for donations to a charity close to my heart - Parkinsons UK. Many of you will know that I recently lost my wonderful Grandad. He was the most incredible, caring, positive, inspirational, determined (often stubborn!) person I know. These traits meant he kicked parkinsons ass for over 20 years, never letting it beat him. Even until recently he would be found out in the garden, despite it taking him a long time to get there in his wheelchair (he always insisted on doing everything independently!) His persistence and courage was admirable. We never heard him moan once; despite the frustration he faced on a daily basis, not being able to peruse the things he loved without a battle. We are all so proud of him and I feel very lucky to have had him as my Grandad. He is a true inspiration to anyone suffering with Parkinsons. And it just goes to show what a fighting spirit and positive attitude can achieve. Any donations, no matter how big or small would mean a lot and make a difference to a great charity 💙
